Summer has arrived in East Kent

Its a wonderful sunny week in our corner of South East Kent. We really enjoyed the open weekend at the Drop Redoubt, Dover Western Heights, hosted by the Western Heights Preservation society last weekend. Its only open for a few occasions in the year but its well worth a visit for the views alone. There are footpaths around the fortification accessible all year round if you are unable to make an open weekend or visit the Grand shaft open on various Sundays throughout the summer. If not, Dover Castle is beloved by many of our visitors and has many event days over the year.

There are plenty of activities in the area for the forthcoming Bank Holiday, which is also forecast to be fair. Details can be found at http://www.whitecliffscountry.org.uk/Whats-On/
